Weybourne is situated on the scenic and undulating A149 "Coast Road" that joins together Cromer, Sheringham, Blakeney, Wells-next-the Sea, Holkham , The Burnhams through to Old Hunstanton. The village is surrounded by arable fields and heathland. Its perfect for people who enjoy walking and birdwatching and sharing the tranquility of village life with the locals. Weybourne beach is a pebble beach frequented by anglers. The beach is extremely deep and is the only place on the Norfolk coast thought to be deep enough for submarines to approach in World War II. A combination of events has resulted in a miniature canyon forming, which cuts inland by over 100m. Indeed its deep waters have been well documented since the days of the Spanish Armada! The water is very clear but swimming here is not recommended. Those of you who love to paddle or swim can explore the sandier beaches of Sheringham, just 3 miles down the coast. Up the hill in the village is the North Norfolk Steam Railway which links Weybourne with Sheringham and the inland Georgian town of Holt. On the outskirts of the village is The 'Muckleburgh Collection' with its working tanks and other military exhibits. The collection is one of Britain’s largest privately owned collections of working military vehicles and equipmentThe village pub "The Ship Inn" provides an opportunity to have a "mardle" with the locals and other visitors to Weybourne. We are also lucky enough to have a great village shop. The Coast Hopper Bus stops in the centre of the village, providing the opportunity for your poor old driver to soak up the sights for a change!
